Alexandra Shorey

Alexandra Shorey gained her degree in Fine Art from the University of Derby in 2004. Since graduating, she has exhibited in Sheffield, Ashbourne, Cirencester and Castle Donington. Inspired by the grace and beauty of the horse, Alexandera uses its form to express a wide range of ideas, drawing on knowledge gained from years of observing the movements and behaviour of her own horse. She produces both large and small scale sculptures which capture the essence of the horse through freedom of form and pose, rather than total realism.
