Charles Harrison

Born in Kenya in 1986, Charles graduated with honours in 2007. During his degree years he became absorbed with the tension between photography and painting, and their contrasting qualities. His current works hold a balance between these contrasts, between painterly abstraction and representational illusion, each a focused depiction of the facial form.

A selection of works by Charles Harrison, including several new pieces, is shown below. Charles's work is currently in very high demand - nearly thirty pieces have been sold since Woodbine Contemporary Arts introduced Charles at the 2008 Spring Affordable Art Fair, and new pieces regularly sell out within weeks of becoming available.
