Loïc Gesnouin

Born in Normandy in 1960. An early meeting with the seascape painter Marin Marie moved him to make painting his vocation. Inspired by Vivaldi, Beethoven and the cellist Rostropovich, he applies and moves his paint as if one with the music, sometimes with violence, sometimes with sensuality.

Loïc Gesnouin has exhibited regularly and to great acclaim in the salons of his native Normandy. His work was shown in the Paris Salon of 2000 and selected for the Paris section of the Peking Salon of that year. His work is held in collections throughout France.
